Our History
Since 1984, A Child’s Reflection has supported the growth and development of children in Katy, Texas. Since 2016, under the leadership of its current owners, the school has continued to evolve, strengthening its identity as an English-based, Kindergarten-ready educational center enriched by daily Spanish instruction and a multicultural learning environment that reflects the diversity of the Houston area.

Owner Information
The owners are Warren and Angelica Jones. Warren Jones has an extensive background in the corporate world and Angelica studied law in her native Colombia. They both are very interested in child development and education and love the work they do at A Child’s Reflection. They have two children that are both grown and they enjoy engaging in family-oriented activities. They are a bilingual family (English – Spanish) and have a deep appreciation for other cultures.
Our Director
Laura Castano has over 10 years of experience in education. Ms. Laura is highly organized and possesses abundant enthusiasm for education and her approach to staff management encourages others to give their best. Ms. Laura has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Please come meet her!
Our Teachers
Our teachers are some of the finest Early Childhood educators. They lead and teach with passion, giving undivided attention to guarantee your child finishes each day enriched with knowledge and creativity. They are prepared to create the best learning environment for your child.
Our teaching staff is dedicated to working with your child through using hands on applications tailored to each individual’s needs. By using age-appropriate curriculum and developmental objectives we guarantee to instill in your child the love for learning. We use the most innovative teaching methods for your child to reach their potential and ensure they are adequately prepared for Kindergarten.
A Child’s Reflection is proud to have a team of excellent early childhood educators. We are dedicated to the ongoing training and development of our team. All our teachers meet TX state requirements and receive training throughout the school year. We require on-going training for our staff through State classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. Our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy recognizes that all children are individuals with a unique timing for growth and development, and interests. Our developmentally based curriculum is designed to build on each child’s strengths. Our center creates an environment in which each child can grow cognitively, physically, emotionally, artistically and socially at their own rate. We are passionate about working with young children, are responsive to their needs, and encourage them as they become increasingly more self-sufficient and independent.
